The mixture of coming Oscar and me being so desperate cant be anything better than this
“Cody is a nominee for the Homecoming court!” This was the first thing Steven said to Brittany as they met in front of the buses.
Cody was Steven’s obsession, fantasy, and one true love. Brittany had the grace to smile at her “brother’s” look of triumph. “You know, you would actually have a reason to be proud if you’d be brave enough to tell him how you feel.”
His smile faltered. “You, of all people, know I want to, but there’s no way a football player like him is gay. Even if he was, he could easily have any guy he wanted, so why would he pick me?” I allowed my smile to creep back with lust filled slowness. “But damn, would that be great if he did…”
–
A few days later, the news went through the school about who had won the place of junior prince. Not too many people were shocked, considering he was a great person and looked great too, even in sweats.
When Steven heard who won, he had mixed feelings. Joy at people recognizing his love as the winner, and sadness because now Cody would obviously have a girl ask him to Homecoming. He’d planned to confess his feelings the next day, having worked up the courage all weekend with fantasies where he and Cody shared years of love and passion. “I guess that’s just another set of hopes and dreams, now discarded, shattered pieces,” you could have heard him say, but nobody cared enough to listen. At least, he thought that no one did.
During second lunch, Cody followed Steven at a discreet distance as he went outside. He caught up with the downtrodden junior at the second set of benches in the courtyard.
“Did you hear? I made Homecoming court!” exclaimed Cody happily.
Steven tried to muster up a smile for his dream’s accomplishment, but it didn’t seem to work well since Cody’s only response to Steven’s “I’m happy for you” was a frown.
“Come on,” said Cody as he sat down next to Steven, “What’s wrong?”
Steven’s laugh earned him a curious glance. “Are you sure you want to be seen talking to me? People might want a recount.”
The flat look that was sent his way caused Steven to reconsider tossing out his dreams. “If they don’t think I should be junior prince just because I’m talking to a troubled friend, I’ll gladly give up the title.”
The warmth his words stirred into Steven’s eyes caused Cody’s heart to give him a painful jolt. Be cool, he thought, I came out here for a reason and it wasn’t to just stare.
“So,” he said after he got his pounding heart under control, “do you have a date to homecoming?”
Steven was slightly shocked at the question, but put it off as simple curiosity. “No, and that’s indirectly the reason I have this depressed expression.” But you could change all that he was tempted to add, but decided not to push his luck.
“Then how about you and I go together?” At the startled expression on his face, Cody backpedaled quickly. “You know, like a group. Since both of us don’t have dates, it makes more sense, right?”
He thought about it, and inclined his head at Cody. “Won’t it look a little strange? Two guys, me being one of them, going to dinner then Homecoming together, with no dates?”
Cody shrugged, “I’m OK with it, and as long as you are too, what does it matter what other people think?” Especially since their thoughts would be the same as my hopes. “What do you say? Want to shock the hell out of everyone at Homecoming?”
Steven thought it was the best idea ever suggested, but toned down his initial reaction for appearances sake. “I’d be cool with that.”
“OK, I’ll pick you up at your house around six.”
“Wait,” cried Steven as Cody happily started to walk back into the commons. “How do you know where I live?”
The smile on his friend’s face only caused Steven’s to glow even brighter. “I don’t, but I figured you’d tell me.”
He thought he heard Steven mutter something like “cocky bastard,” but all that did was make him grin.
“Are you sure I look good? I mean, it’s ok if we don’t match, right?” Steven was freaking out like a girl on her first date. Which did make some sense, since it was his first date with a guy.
“You look fine, and don’t ask about your hair. It’s great too,” replied his twin sister Stephanie.
When the doorbell rang, Steven jumped. “Oh my god, he’s here!” He shoved his sister out of their room and raced down the stairs.
The sight that greeted him when he opened the door was breathtaking. Cody’s perfectly tailored dress slacks molded his perfect thighs, and nestled comfortably on his hips. The dress shirt he wore fit his shoulders snugly, and spanned his chest in a way that made Steven jealous. In short, he was wonderful.
As Steven’s legs went weak, other parts of him gained their strength. The ache in his groin would kill him before the night was over, he decided.
What Cody saw as the door opened gave him an equally strong reaction. Steven may not be muscular, thought Cody, but he still looks damn fine! He shifted his stance so that the, now very prominent, bulge in his pants was better hidden by a fold in his pants. Motioning towards the waiting limo, he said, “Your ride awaits.”
A sigh escaped Steven’s lips before he could stifle it. That’s it; I have to tell him my true feelings. I’ll do it in the limo so if he rejects me, I won’t be stuck anywhere.
As they walked towards the door of the limo, Cody couldn’t help but notice Steven’s anxious expression. Soon as they had the door closed behind them, he turned to Steven. “Are you OK? Do you want to skip dinner?”
“I’m not exactly OK, but I would still like to go to dinner.” Steven had to say it before he lost his courage. “Cody, I have to be honest with you. When I first heard that you’d made the Homecoming court, I was sad. It almost guaranteed that you’d have a date. Then you suggested this, and my hope returned.” He took a breath before the plunge. “I love you, and the thought of you never knowing hurts more than a rejection. I understand that you may not feel the same and tha–“
Cody grabbed him by the shoulders and pulled his face close. “Shut up,” he said tenderly, an instant before his lips claimed Steven’s.
They both lost themselves in the kiss, allowing all the words left unsaid to come out in a way infinitely better than any language could convey. When the kiss broke, both felt such utter loss that they knew the other was their destiny.
“You are the one for me,” whispered Steven, still in Cody’s strong arms.
“And you me,” reassured Cody, leaning in for another quick kiss, that predictably became more. Luckily, Cody had enough sense to roll up the privacy screen before his hands began to roam over his soul mate’s body.
A sharp gasp from Steven, and the world dissolved around them. All that existed was Steven and Cody.
He didn’t know how, but all of a sudden his shirt was undone and Cody’s hands were skimming across his stomach, back, and chest. He leaned forward and took one of Steven’s nipples into his mouth while he rolled the other between his thumb and first finger.
Steven had fallen back onto the seat by this point, and his abs were quivering with pleasure. He reached behind Cody, who was now on top of him, and pulled his hips against his own. Their hardness rubbed against each other through their pants, and pleasure exploded, causing the rest of the ride to Applebee’s to disappear into a pleasurable haze filled with sinful acts.
–
At dinner, both Cody and Steven had problems focusing on their meals. Every few seconds, they glanced up and exchanged loving looks laced with desire. After all, they still had the ride to Kentlake to explore their new relationship.
With their legs intertwined beneath the table, Steven set down his fork and decided to break the silence.
“So, how long have you felt this way?” When he saw Cody glance around, as if to make sure others couldn’t hear, Steven added, “don’t worry, with all this chatter it’s hard to tell what’s being said.”
Cody chuckled light-heartedly. “I could care less about who heard that I’ve loved you since you first helped me out in class without me asking, but,” he indicated his nearly empty glass, “I was actually looking for our server.”
The blush that spread across Steven’s face could not be hidden, but he made a valiant effort as he bent forward to pick at his food.
Cody loved to see Steven’s face flush. Actually, he admitted to himself, I just love to see his face; it’s so expressive. He couldn’t hold back any longer, so he reached across the table and pulled Steven into a quick kiss, showing he didn’t care about the blush or the other diners. This earned several disapproving, some encouraging, and even more shocked expressions sent their way.
As they left, Steven tried to hang back an appropriate amount, but Cody would usher him forward. When they got in the limo, Steven had to talk fast in order to start before his desires took hold again. “I love the fact that you aren’t ashamed of your feelings for me, but you really shouldn’t flaunt it that much.”
“Why?” he said as they leaned back into the seat. “I’ve found true love. Can’t I enjoy it?”
Wicked thoughts threatened to destroy Steven’s resolve, but he continued on. “Believe me, you can enjoy ‘it’ as much as possible, just limit yourself to small shows of affection when we’re around people we don’t know. Can you do that for me?”
The anger that had built up as a result of needing to limit his displays of affection just to appease society vanished at the pleading look on his lover’s face. He leaned to the side and motioned for Steven to lie against him. God, he feels so right against me! “If I could, I’d gift wrap and personally deliver any star in the sky just for you,” said Cody. “Of course I’ll tone it down around strangers who might not approve.”
Cody pretended to look like he was trying to think, and looked damn cute to Steven. “Now, where were we before this?”
“About right here,” said Steven softly, as his hand grasped Cody through his dress pants.
He gasped, his body stiffening. “Don’t start what you can’t finish,” he moaned. “We only have a few minutes ‘till we get there.”
Steven leaned forward and unbuttoned, then unzipped, Cody’s pants with his teeth. “I think I can work fast.” He flicked his tongue across the prominent bulge in front of him.
Cody’s back arched and he began to shake. “I’m not worried about you; I’m worried about me being able to move later.” Or, or at least he tried to say that. He wasn’t sure if it came out as words, or just a string of groans and gasps. My god is he good at this! I can’t take it much longer. I – AH!
–
When they arrived, they got out of the limo from opposite sides to avoid the urges that came about from being too close. Cody had to steady himself on the door for a while after standing, so Steven wound up next to him anyways.
“Next time you do that,” whispered Cody as they entered the dance, “try to stop soon enough that I can walk when we get there.”
Steven grinned and licked his lips, causing Cody to shudder, and nearly fall, at the awe inspiring memories of few moments ago. “Not a chance.”
Cody tried to grab Steven and kiss that taunting look right off his face, but he had already disappeared into the crowd. Probably to find some friend in order to say hi.
“Cody!” called a couple a few feet away, “you need to hurry up and get in the Homecoming court picture, or you’re going to be failing at your duties.”
Steven saw Cody head for the gym, and knew it was for the pictures. He found his friend Brittany talking to her long time crush Matt, whom she’d badgered into coming.
“You won’t believe what happened to me,” said Steven after he got his “sister’s” attention, “on the ride over, Cody told me that he loves me!”
Brittany had a curious look. “This is supposed to shock me? I see the glow on your face, and I saw him stumble as you two got out of the limo, and I kind of put two and two together.” She shoved Steven towards the gym. “Now go take a picture with your man so I can be sure to get a copy!”
Steven arrived just in time to see the junior princess give Cody a tender kiss and a polite “thank you” laced with something more.
Green tidal waves slammed against the bleachers, washing over everyone, tainting the air with their essence. Cody felt the wave crash over the junior princess and him, and knew their source right away.
He ran past the startled girl, who was trying to get a dance with him, and after his love, Steven’s jealousy still filling the room.
“Steven, wait!” Cody caught up with him and grabbed his arm, spinning him around and just missing a slap in the face. “Why’d you run out like that?”
“Why do you think?” Steven’s eyes wavered, the tears barely contained. “She’s the one our school wanted you to be with. She’s the one society would see you with, and she’s the one who’s allowed to show her feelings in public!” He jerked his arm out of Cody’s grip, and began to move out onto the dance floor but again, Cody caught up to him and spun him around.
The tears running down Steven’s cheeks nearly broke Cody’s heart. “You’re such an idiot,” he muttered Cody, and then he pulled Steven into his arms, kissing him for all to see.
Steven melted into his lover’s arms, parting his lips willingly and eagerly when Cody’s tongue probed them gently. The kiss deepened, grew in passion, then crescendoed, ending with a sigh from Cody and a moan of loss from Steven.
“You are the only person for me, and I don’t give a damn what society or our school thinks.” He indicated all of the students he had just kissed Steven in front of with a nod of his head. “Never worry about what they think; they don’t matter. As long as our love endures, that is the only thing that’s important.”
Cody held out his hand, as he offered his heart and future, to the only person who ever truly cared. “Dance with me?”
Steven’s heart instinctively sought out his soul mates, their lives forever intertwined. Their palms met, and a tingle of destiny whispered through the room.
“Until the end of time.”
